The Couples Conversations™ Card Deck · Print at home

150 new questions. Three levels. Printed at home tonight.

Most conversation decks are written for new couples and go deep with no safe way to handle what comes up. This one was written by a couples therapist for the two of you, years in, with a pass rule on every card.

150 questions, none repeated

Every card is new. None of them appear in the five books or the Master Edition, and no two ask the same thing in different words.

Three levels, numbered in order

Curious, Closer, and Honest. Start light, go as deep as the evening allows, and pick up where you left off.

A pass rule on every card

Either of you can pass any card, no explanation. Plus a page on what to do if a question opens something bigger than the evening.

Why a therapist wrote one

The decks I see in my office go deep without a net.

Couples bring me question cards all the time. The questions are often good. The problem is what happens after the question: one partner opens up, the other does not know what to do with it, and the evening ends worse than it started. A deck that asks about grief or shame with no pass rule and no aftercare is not a game. It is an ambush.

So this one is built the way I run a session. The early cards are easy on purpose. Every card can be passed, no reason required. And there is a page at the back for the moment a question touches something real, so you know how to hold it instead of fixing it or walking away.

Questions, answered

Before you buy

Is this the same as the books?

No. The 150 questions here are new and do not appear in any of the five volumes or the Master Edition. If you own the books, nothing repeats.

We have been together twenty years. Is it for us?

It was written for you. The questions assume a shared history and ask about it, rather than treating you like a first date.

What if a question is too much?

Pass it. That rule is printed on every card, and it applies to both of you with no explanation owed. There is also a page at the back for what to do if a card opens something bigger.

What do I need to print it?

Any home printer and 17 sheets of US Letter paper. Single-sided, black ink. Card stock is optional. If you do not have a printer, most print shops will do it for a few dollars.

Is this therapy?

No. For educational purposes only. Does not create a therapist-client relationship. Not a substitute for therapy or clinical services.

One evening, one card, and a conversation you have not had in years.
